DESCRIPTION:Between 1690 and 1740, much Italian music for solo harpsichord remains little known and rarely performed. This lecture presents new works uncovered in archives and asks: how should this music be played? Drawing on Italian primary sources and combining scholarly and artistic approaches, it outlines performance practices and offers fresh perspectives on bringing this repertoire to life.
