Research on historical cornettos aims to employ 3d-ct measurement, imaging, and production to address challenges arising from the instrument's curved geometry and structural irregularities inherent to its hand-crafted manufacture. Although the external appearance of the cornetto may seem relatively simple, its acoustic and musical properties are sensitive to minute variations in internal bore shape, volumetric profile and tone-hole geometry. The specific qualities of individual surviving instruments are therefore embedded in these subtle structural details. The ongoing project ZinkNET (HEM Genève) by Patrik Sabo (www.longabrevis.com) connects and continues the pioneering resaerch on the complete corpus of cornettos from the Collection of Historic Musical Instruments Vienna, carried out by Beatrix Darmstaedter and her team (KHM, FHOÖ, FWF). The main goal of the ZinkNET project is to map the entire cornetto repertoire within a RISM-based web platform, in which musical works are linked to surviving instruments.

Anreise mit der Bahn • Zug bis „Eisenstadt Bahnhof“ • mit dem Stadtbus "MARTIN" Haltestelle „Joseph Haydn Konservatorium“ • zu Fuß: Vom Esterházyplatz/Schloss auf die Rückseite Richtung Schlosspark/Glorietteallee (ca. 5 - 10 Minuten, Gelände leicht ansteigend).

Dieser Ausstellungsstandort ist barrierefrei zugänglich und verfügt über barrierefreie Toiletten.

Ein Lift befindet sich in unmittelbarer Nähe zum Eingangsbereich.
