In this talk, Maria Blengino presents her PhD research on women in jazz in Italy, exploring their stories, challenges, and artistic journeys. Through personal experiences and real-life encounters, she sheds light on voices that have long been overlooked in a traditionally male-dominated field. Focusing on the vibrant jazz scene of Bologna, the presentation invites the audience to reflect on how musical histories are shaped—and how they can be reimagined.
