The station will be organised as an interactive classroom. Through colourful images and experience-based stories of conducting a nationwide community-based participatory rural assessment (PRA) in post-conflict Timor-Leste, we will learn together how concepts such as security or human security need to be developed in close collaboration with the community, and what can happen when communities are not involved in such knowledge-building processes. Participants will also have the opportunity to think about and discuss other examples that are much closer to home, such as those in Vienna, Austria, or in their own communities and learn the importance and impact of community-engaged research.
